Pankaj Lal, PhD, Associate Professor at Montclair State University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Environmental Studies.
Dr. Lal has been an associate professor of Earth and environmental studies at Montclair since 2016, when he accepted the concurrent post of associate director of the Institute for Sustainability Studies at the Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. He entered teaching after initially working with research, and is on track to become a full professor. Dr. La was also a former advisory board member for the initiative on “Valuing the Resilience Dividence” for the Rockefeller Foundation.
Among many prestigious accolades, Dr. Lal was presented a 2017 Presidential Award for Scientists and Engineers by the Office of Science and Technology Policy in The White House. He is a fellow of the Passaic River Institute, and a member of environmental groups such as the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists and the Association of American Geographers. Dr. Lal has also received doctoral faculty status through 2020, and was elected to Phi Kappa Phi in 2011.
