Robert Stenner, Private Toxicology Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of toxicology.
Passionate about educating others and ensuring public safety, Dr. Stenner has had an extraordinary career in the field of toxicology and emergency response consultation. He has held numerous positions over the course of his career, currently serving as a private toxicology and emergency response consultant as well as vice president of ERTIC, LLC, an organization focused on emergency preparedness and response. Prior to starting his outstanding career, Dr. Stenner earned a Bachelor of Science in power mechanics with honors from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Science in nuclear engineering from Idaho State University and a Doctor of Philosophy in toxicology from Washington State University.
During the horrific September 11 attacks, Dr. Stenner had been teaching people appropriate responses to a chemical attacks near the World Trade Center. Realizing the nation was in peril, he acted immediately, helping construct an emergency care unit to treat victims. Dr. Stenner’s steadfast actions and expert preparedness saved lives that fateful day and led to his job with the Department of Homeland Security.
Other responsibilities Dr. Stenner has undertaken include serving as a toxicologist and research engineer scientist with Pacific Northwest Laboratories and a chemical and radiation protection engineer for the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He has also been an environmental engineering specialist in Pocatello, Idaho, as well as an environmental engineer specializing in emergency response-oil spills for Gaston County Air Pollution Control. In addition to these positions, Dr. Stenner has contributed articles to professional journals, has created several emergency response standards and has published his autobiography “An Amazing Journey: Faith Story” in 2017.
Bettering any organization with which he has been affiliated, Dr. Stenner holds membership with the American Society for Testing and Materials, the Society of Toxicology, the Pacific Northwest Association of Toxicologists and the Society for Risk Analysis. Additionally, he has been involved with the American Red Cross, the Pacific Northwest Cross Connection Youth Mission and the Ingalls Creek Enrichment Center. As a testament to his notoriety, Dr. Stenner has been lauded with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in the World.
