Fascinated by the foundational structure of the world, Dr. Buschbach has dedicated himself to the field of geology. Following his service as a lieutenant commander of the US Naval Reserve, the Navy as well as his wife, Mildred Buschbach, suggested he pursue geology. He heeded their advice and matriculated at the University of Illinois where he earned a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy. Dr. Buschbach immediately loved the subject and has worked as a geologic consultant since 1985 following decades of geological experience.

Dr. Buschbach has held esteemed positions throughout the course of his career including working as a research professor of geology at Saint Louis University. He is proud of this role as well as his work with Vanderbilt University, Purdue University and other elite organizations. An authority of geology, he has focused on structural geology and stratigraphy with the Underground Storage of Natural Gas in Illinois and has coordinated the New Madrid Seismotectonic Study for the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, an accomplishment he is particularly proud of. In recognition of his success in the field of geology, Dr. Buschbach is a fellow of the Geological Society of America and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who in the World.
