Noal Cohen, Organic Chemist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in organic chemistry.
Dr. Cohen felt a connection to the sciences at an early age and first set out to explore a career in chemical engineering. After two years of studying in this tract, he decided that chemistry was more exciting for him, and in making the decision to pursue this industry, he has since lead a rewarding career. He first earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Rochester in 1959 and continued at Northwestern University to receive a PhD in 1965. After earning the bachelor’s degree, he began working as a production chemist at Eastman Kodak Co. Upon receiving the PhD, he worked as a research chemist at Hoffman-La Roche Inc. from 1967 to 1994, and spent the remaining years of his career as a consultant for Synthetic Organic Chemistry.
The highlight of Dr. Cohen’s career was the many papers he published at peer reviewed scientific journals which he authored and co-authored over a period of seven years. He holds several patents in the field and maintains professional affiliation with the American Chemical Society. In addition, Dr. Cohen is passionate about 50s and 60s jazz musicians, and is a professional drummer. He has composed 30 songs that are registered with BMI and copyrighted.
