With more than 20 years of professional experience, Dr. Kung was a principal scientist at the Schering-Plough Research Institute from 1995 to 2002. Prior to obtaining this role, he was an adjunct associate professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 1991 to 1992. Earlier in his career, he was a senior scientist at Schering Corporation from 1980 to 1991. A highlight of Dr. Kung’s career is the ten years he spent conducting research on allergic inflammation, which was part of an asthma study.
Dr. Kung began his career as a student at National Taiwan University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1957. He continued his studies with Fairleigh Dickinson University, completing a Master of Science in 1968. He later joined New York University, earning a PhD in 1977. Throughout his career, Dr. Kung has been recognized for his contributions. He has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who’s Who in America. Dr. Kung got into his profession because he wanted to do research. He came to America because he wanted to further his education so he could pursue research. Dr. Kung worked at New York University Medical School, by chance he started to work with the pharmaceutical field and liked it. There were enough research funds for him to work with.
