Dr. Fu-Ming Tao, Chemist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in physical, computational and atmospheric chemistry.
Dr. Tao’s love of science has guided him throughout his career and into his work as an educator. Since 1995, he has served as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at California State University. Prior to this position, he inhabited the role of postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University and postdoctoral research associate at Brown University. From 1986 to 1991, Dr. Tao worked as a teaching assistant at Boston College. From 1985 to 1986, he was an assistant professor at Suzhou University. In his career, he has contributed to articles, professional journals and more than 140 papers.
Dr. Tao was set on his own path in academia at the University of Science and Technology of China, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1982. He continued his studies at Suzhou University, whereupon he received a Master of Science in chemistry in 1985. He later received a PhD from Boston College in 1991. In addition, he continued with postdoctoral work at both Brown University and Harvard University. In order to remain abreast of field trends, he has maintained professional affiliation with the American Chemical Society.
