Paul Voss has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in physics.

Skilled in the field of physics, Mr. Voss’ interest in the field began at an early age. Always interested in science, physics hooked him into the idea of pursuing it as his vocation. In this venture, he first earned a Bachelor of Science at Syracuse University in 1969. He continued at John Hopkins University, receiving a Master of Science in 1972. Prior to retiring, Mr. Voss served as a senior physicist at Johns Hopkins University in the Applied Physics Laboratory. He joined the lab in 1969, and at increasing levels of responsibility until 2003. From 1983 to 1995, he contributed his skills and expertise as the facility manager of the guidance evaluation laboratory at Johns Hopkins University.

In addition to these positions, Mr. Voss contributed to the field of physics in various ventures. He conducted an operational evaluation of the experimental vessel traffic system for the Coast Guard in San Francisco and lead the development of six degrees of freedom standard missile simulations at JHU/APL. He served as the chairman of the AEGIS Scenario Certification Committee from 1987 to 1996 and served on the Standard Missile Simulation Accreditation Review Panel from 1984 to 1996. Furthermore, Mr. Voss was the facility manager of the Guidance System Evaluation Lab (GSEL) from 1983 to 1995.

Mr. Voss has received a number of accolades throughout his career in recognition of his contributions. These include the AEGIS EXCELLENCE AWARD for Outstanding Performance Special Team Award: through the first quarter of 1995, and a letter of commendation from Admiral J.B. Greene, Jr. Mr. Voss considers his work for Admiral Greene and the Navy as the highlight of his career. Admiral Greene commended him on his work with the Scenario Certification Team, the AAW Certification Team and contributions to the AEGIS shipbuilding program. Though retired, Mr. Voss remains active, enjoying the pastimes of yoga and swimming.
