Pradeep Wagle, Research Ecologist at Grazinglands Research Laboratory, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of ecology.
Dr. Wagle started his higher education at Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture in 2004. He immigrated to the United States and continued his education at Oklahoma State University (OSU), where he earned a Master of Science in horticulture in 2010, and a PhD in crop science in 2013. While completing his studies, he gained experience as a graduate research assistant at OSU, where he worked from 2008 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Dr. Wagle worked as a postdoctoral research associate, and in 2015, he started working with the United States Department of Agriculture. Since 2016, he has worked as a research ecologist at USDA-ARS Grazinglands Research Laboratory, and is a member of the graduate faculty for plant and soil science at OSU.
As a researcher, Dr. Wagle has been a part of a variety of published works. Dr. Wagle has authored approximately 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and nearly 100 conference abstracts. He serves as the handling editor and member secretary on the editorial board for the Global Journal of Agricultural and Allied Sciences, and as an Editorial Board Member for the Remote Sensing Journal. He worked as a guest editor for “Sustainability in the Mountains Region” for Sustainability Journal from 2016 to 2017 and “Remote Sensing of Evapotranspiration” for Remote Sensing Journal from 2018 and 2019. He acts as a reviewer for myriad professional journals, including Agricultural and Forest Meteorology, the Journal of Geophysical Research, Crop Science, the ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Ecological Modelling, and the Journal of Climate, among many more. Dr. Wagle is also a member of the American Geophysical Union. He is most interested in conducting research and publishing papers, and looks forward to further developing and specializing his skills in the coming years. As a testament to his success and expertise, Dr. Wagle was included in the 71st edition of Who’s Who in America.
