With over 45 years of experience, Dr. Visscher currently works as a biomedical researcher at The Skin Sciences Institute at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, of which she is also the co-founder and director. Prior to taking on that position, she was a senior scientist for the Procter & Gamble Company from 1978 to 1995. Previously excelling in the field of education, Dr. Visscher served as an assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Cincinnati from 1976 to 1978 and a visiting professor of chemistry for Indiana University from 1974 to 1976. She began her career in 1973 as a postdoctoral fellow at Indiana University. Additionally, Dr. Visscher has contributed as a speaker in the field and member of the ADHA collaborative and task force at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital since 2002.

As a student, Dr. Visscher achieved an education at Indiana University, Bloomington, from which she graduated with a PhD in 1973. Pursuing a post-graduate education, she attended Xavier University and became a certified principal investigator by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Aside from holding patents in the field, she is the author of “The Ideas of Chemistry” and “Laboratory Manual for The Ideas of Chemistry.” In order to keep ahead of changes and developments in the field, Dr. Vasscher maintains memberships with the National Association of Neonatal Nurses, the Pediatric Research Dermatology Alliance, and the Glendale Lyceum. As a testament to her success and achievements, she has been featured in the 10th edition of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, the 27th edition of Who’s Who of American Women, the 25th and 26th editions of Who’s Who in the World, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in America.
