David F. Arieti, instructor at Columbia College Chicago, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements and leadership in education.
With 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Arieti has been an environmental science instructor with Columbia College Chicago since 1992, holding the same position at Oakton Community College since 1987. In addition to his primary roles, he was an instructor with Richard J. Daley College from 1998 to 2007, Truman College from 1994 to 2007 and Wabaunsee Community College from 1991 to 2003. Prior to obtaining these roles, he was a visiting lecturer with Hampden-Sydney College in 1985 and an adjunct professor with Montgomery Community College in 1982. Earlier in his career, Mr. Arieti was an adjunct professor with Chesapeake College from 1980 to 1981 and a researcher for Algal Research on the Sea of Galilee from 1969 to 1971.
Mr. Arieti first pursued an education at the University of Denver, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1967. He continued his studies at Long Island University (LIU), earning a Master of Science in marine science in 1974. He has been certified as a fiber counter, asbestos contractor/supervisor/project supervisor and scuba diver. Mr. Arieti is also a member of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine and the Board of the Synagogue.
