Alkistis Von Gizycki, Retired Freelance Writer and Researcher, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Research.
A leading expert in the field of scientific research, Ms. Von Gizycki is currently retired, having been a freelance writer and researcher since 1986. Prior to obtaining these positions, she served as a business developer for the Bucci Trading Company from 1981 to 1986. Earlier in her career, she was an educator and counselor with the Bilingual Board of Education in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 1971 to 1986. In addition to her primary roles, she has been an officer on the board of the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church since 1979.
Ms. Von Gizycki was inspired to pursue a career from an early age, having witnessed war at the age of ten and wanting to understand why people acted the way they did when others did not. She first pursued an education with RMWC, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in 1971. She continued her studies with New School University, earning a Master of Arts in psychology in 1978.
A respected voice in her areas of interest, Ms. Von Gizycki has been affiliated with a number of organizations in her community. She is a member of the National Organization of Women, the American Association of American Women, the New York Academy of Science, and the American Psychological Association. For her contributions to the field, she has been recognized throughout her career with awards and accolades. A Fulbright Grantee, she received a General Excellence Award from the American Academy, and the J.P. Morgan Chase Foundation gave her a Volunteer Award and the Outstanding Performance Award.
