Title: Retired Computer Programmer
Location: Roselle, Illinois, United States
Paul Brandys, a Retired Programmer of Convergys, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in computer science.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, Mr. Brandys earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. At the start of his career, he worked as a chemist for the specialty product unit of PPG Industries and Quaker Oats. After 9 years of being a chemist, it was the dawn of the computer. Since some of his fellow employees had passed away from the exposure of the chemicals, Mr. Brandys decided to divert his attention to the study of computer science – mainly to live to see his children grown. Furthermore, he received a Master of Science in computer programming from DePaul University.
From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Brandys worked as a computer programmer for Chicago Northwestern. Subsequently, he assumed employment with Convergys – an information management company that sold customer management and information management products – from 1995 to 2007. Moreover, he served as a contract employee for United Stationers and Discover until his retirement in 2011. For Mr. Brandys, the highlight of his career was his time at Chicago Northwestern. An active member of his career, he volunteered as a cold caller for the democratic party candidate Michelle Mussman. Happily married, Mr. Brandys is the proud father of two adult children and is the grandfather of two kids.
