Moisey Gamarnik has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in crystallography of nanoparticles.
Since 2000, Dr. Gamarnik has served as a crystallophysicist with Nanoscale Phases Research in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. This line of work studies the structure of nanoparticles and how they may benefit the greater needs of society. Throughout his career, he has garnered experience and skills in a number of positions. Prior to his current position, Dr. Gamarnik has worked as an X-ray crystallographer for DuPont Pharmaceuticals Experimental Station, as an associate professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at Drexel University, as a crystallophysicist for Instrumentation Technology Associates and as a scientist with the Academy of Sciences in Kiev. His earliest positions including teaching in schools in the U.S.S.R and Ukraine. His achievements throughout his career include researching problems in the structure and properties of small crystal particles and nanophase substances, and in the problems of crystallization and structure of proteins.
Dr. Garmanik pursued the field of science academically, earning his degrees at the University of Kharkiv. He has contributed numerous articles to Physical State Solid, Physical Review and Nanostructural Materials. In addition, he has maintained professional affiliation as a member of the International Union of Crystallography. He feels fortunate in his career to be able to provide a living doing something that he is passionate about. In his spare time, he enjoys sports and traveling, especially to the Caribbean. Looking toward the future, he endeavors to continue working in the field as a solid state physicist.
