Om Prakash Sachdev has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in biochemistry.
A native of Allahabad, India, Dr. Sachdev was encouraged to study science by his middle school science teacher. Furthermore, he received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from the University of Allahabad in 1969 and 1971. Soon thereafter, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy from Howard University in 1980 and later a Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2000. While studying in India, he served the executive role of a delegacy for the Allahabad University Student Union between 1967 and 1969.
From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Sachdev excelled as a consulting clinical scientist and biochemist with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that engagement, he contributed to Invivis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Pharmalead Therapeutics as a consulting clinical scientist between 2011 and 2016. At the start of his career, he was a lecturer of biochemistry at Government Medical College, Jabalpur University. An expert in biochemistry, he has also served Johnson & Johnson as a global clinical manager of pharmaceutical in the company’s research and development division, Kyowa Kirin Pharmaceutical Development, Inc., as director of project management, Novartis Pharma, as Director of Clinical Oncology and Translational Sciences and Enzon Pharmaceuticals as a team lead of project management in the division of early clinical development and translational oncology.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Sachdev contributed as president of the Rotary Club of Somerville and Bridgewater between 2016 and 2018. He also served as chairman of several membership and foundation committees. In his spare time, he often reads scientific journals, plays golf, and enjoys mentoring and doing community service.
