Glenn Ernest McCreery, PhD, Consulting Research Scientist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in research.
A graduate of San Jose State University, Dr. McCreery earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1966 and went on to acquire a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the institution in 1968. Several years later, he achieved a Doctor of Philosophy in chemical engineering from the University of California Santa Barbara. In 1968, Dr. McCreery began his career as a mechanical engineer for Applied Technology Inc. In the years that followed, he brought his skills to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Lockheed Research Laboratory and Idaho National Laboratory. In 2008, Dr. McCreery began working as a consultant for the Idaho National Laboratory, building off his prior experience in consulting at Idaho State University. He officially commenced his retirement in 2016.
Outside of his primary endeavors, Dr. McCreery has found great success as an author. Throughout his career, he has published numerous articles on fluid dynamics and nuclear reactor safety. Further, he has excelled as a journal reviewer. Also artistically inclined, Dr. McCreery exhibits his photography work at Teton Art Gallery in Idaho. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, windsurfing and studying astronomy. As a testament to his success, Dr. McCreery is also featured in the 63rd edition of Who’s Who in America, as well as the 23rd and 24th editions of Who’s Who in the West.
