Roger E. Stier, PhD, Retired Chemist and Researcher at Firmenich, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in chemistry.
Backed by a Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Dr. Stier earned a PhD in chemistry from Stafford University in 2003. Earlier, in 1968, he began his career as a technician at Burroughs Wellcome Co. In the years that followed, he gained experience at Schering Union, Beecham Products Research, and Noville as an analytical chemist, research associate, and senior chemist, respectively. Later, from 2005 until 2010, Dr. Stier excelled as the applied technical manager of oral care at Firmenich. He then retired from his work as a renowned chemist and researcher.
Outside of his primary ventures, Dr. Stier has worked as a consultant for Proctor & Gamble since 1999. From 1967 until 2013, he served as a minister for the New Apostolic Church in Clifton, New Jersey. Likewise, he worked with the Boy Scouts of America as a scoutmaster in the 1960s. An inventor in his field, Dr. Steir has 27 United States Patents, and he has published four articles in distinguished professional journals. He maintains affiliation with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Chemical Society, and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, among other professional organizations. When he is not working, Dr. Stier enjoys playing the organ, reading, and writing poems. As a testament to his success, he is featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the World.
