In his retirement, Dr. Roemer has been committed to religious research and speaking engagement. Through various websites, including Newevangelization.info, Holyshroud.info, Pseudoscience123.com and Newevanglist.me, he discusses the links and gaps between science and religion, aiming “to explore and share the close connection between faith and reason as revealed by new discoveries in physics and philosophy.” He is also a contributor of articles to various professional journals, including “Science, Metaphysics, Philosophy, Theology, History and the Holy Shroud.” Upon reflection, Dr. Roemer credits his desire to spearhead a career in theology from the encapsulating influence of his metaphysics teacher, Father W. Norris Clarke.
