Leslie Davis Randall, Supervisory Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in clinical research.
Following obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond in 1977, Ms. Randall provided excellent service from 1980 to 2020 as a supervisory clinical laboratory scientist, performing complex tests on patient samples using sophisticated equipment and collaborating very closely with physicians and medical laboratory technicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease processes, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of therapy. For all of those years, she was employed by the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, a United States Department of Defense medical facility at Fort Hood, Texas providing medical care to service members and their families, along with veterans and their dependents, in and around the largest United States military installation in the world. Ms. Randall had been certified as a medical technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
Ms. Randall attributes her success to her deep faith and the encouragement of her family. She was attracted to the healthcare field by the example of her great-grandfather, a doctor in rural Oklahoma, and her father, a clinical therapist. In addition, she evinced enthusiasm for the analytical part of medical technology in its role in discovering abnormal results and treating patients.
