Ayad K. Ali, PhD, Senior Director at Aetion, Inc, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmacological research.
Dr. Ali prepared for his career with a master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy in pharmacoepidemiology, the study of epidemiology that provides an estimate of the probability of beneficial effects of a drug in a population and the probability of adverse effects, from the University of Florida in Gainesville. A pharmacist by training, he was keenly interested in patient safety and decided to concentrate on the study of how medications affect individuals in different populations.

He has channeled his high level of expertise in pharmacology by writing numerous articles and books on drug safety and pharmacoepidemiologic methods. Additionally, he has developed research interests in the development and application of novel methods in the design and analysis of post-authorization safety studies, as well as data structure and analysis standardization approaches for rapid-cycle drug safety research.
Beginning in 2021, Dr. Ali has prospered as senior director of scientific research with Aetion, Inc., a health care analytics company that delivers real-world evidence for the manufacturers, purchasers, and regulators of medical treatments and technologies. He also serves his country as a volunteer pilot with the Civil Air Patrol of the United States Air Force Auxiliary. In the coming years, Dr. Ali intends to expand his leadership role and build his name in the industry.
