Since 2020, he has flourished as chief scientific officer with LivFul, Inc., a global healthcare company providing access to healthcare products and innovation, including consumer healthcare products, diagnostics, and therapeutics.

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in cell biology at the University of Kansas in Lawrence in 1981, Dr. Dooley continued his education with a Doctor of Philosophy in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1986, and then served as a Helen Hay Whitney Postdoctoral Fellow with the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London from 1986 to 1988 and as a research scientist with Upjohn in Kalamazoo from 1988 to 1991.

Dr. Dooley provided superior education as Alabama Power Endowed Chair and Director of Molecular Pharmacology from 1995 to 1998 with the Southern Research Institute in Birmingham. He then served as chief executive officer with BioDerm from 1999 to 2003, chief scientific officer with MediQuest Therapeutics, Bothell, Washington from 2004 to 2011 and vice president of research and development of Agenta Biotechnologies from 2011 to 2012 and Total Pain Solutions from 2014 to 2015.

Dr. Dooley attributes his success to his education, perseverance, and the diversity of the professional communications skills that he has developed. He considers his career highlights his invention and patenting of new medicines, especially PanX for anxiety and other biomedical products. In coming years, he hopes to see the products that he discovered fully commercialized around the globe, and he is working towards that goal.
