Having accumulated almost a decade of experience, Mr. Fossceco is a proven expert in the field of medical science. Since 2017, he has operated with ARUP Laboratories, originally joining as a medical laboratory scientist and later rising to the position of mass spectrometry application specialist in 2021. Specializing in mass spectrometry and toxicology, Mr. Fossceco develops and redevelops mass spectrometry-based tests for the company, in addition to working extensively in data analysis.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Fossceco has accrued a wealth of success by focusing his efforts on multi-faceted areas of study. In addition to his skills in spectrometry, he is well-versed in drug testing and several specimen extraction techniques. As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. Fossceco also remains affiliated with the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Fossceco pursued a formal education at the University of Utah, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in clinical laboratory science in 2017. He also worked as a research assistant at the university between 2015 and 2016. During his time at the university, he focused many of his scientific research on LGBTQ+ topics. Mr. Fossceco was also a member of the university’s Medical Laboratory Science Professional Club and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Fossceco attributes much of his success to his dedicated work ethic and the support and guidance of his mentors. To wit, he is particularly proud to have developed new research pathways for his company, which will allow them to increase productivity in tests related to newborn children. In the coming years, Mr. Fossceco intends to return to school to earn a master’s or doctoral degree and hopes to continue branching out into new areas of scientific study.
