Rachel Whitney Daringer, Oncology Information Scientist at NeoGenomics Laboratories, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical science.

With more than 20 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Daringer has excelled as an oncology information scientist with NeoGenomics Laboratories since 2019. She previously served as a clinical administrator for Ambry Genetics between 2013 and 2018. Ms. Daringer further worked for the aforementioned company as a genetic specialist from 2009 to 2013.

Prior to these appointments, Ms. Daringer was active as a clinical research project assistant with Paragon Biomedical from 2008 to 2009. She began her career as a clinical research assistant with the Children’s Hospital Denver from 2001 to 2003. During this time, Ms. Daringer pursued an education at Colorado State University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, chemistry and molecular biology in 2003.

Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Daringer has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. Between 1999 and 2004, she contributed as a preschool teacher at the Sonshine Center. She also held the position of an assistant store manager with the Starbucks Corportation from 2007 to 2008. Ms. Daringer found success with her written works as well, having provided her wealth of knowledge to articles published in the Journal of Breast Cancer Research and Treatment.

Ms. Daringer attributes her success to her ability to thrive under extreme circumstances or high pressure as well as her love for learning from her peers, especially regarding genetics and cancer, and the challenges of accepting a new project. A stroke survivor who is grateful for the encouragement of her colleagues and mentors, she had initially pursued a career in medicine until her own considerations towards her health turned her focus toward clinical science. Renowned for her compassion, Mr. Daringer hopes to continue working in an administrative position or operate in an independent capacity as a patient advocate within the fields of medicine, genetics and research in the coming years.
