James Ogunade, MD, MPH, MBA, PMP, FIMC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmacoepidemiology.
Dr. Ogunade has excelled since 2021 as the director of early clinical development with Pfizer Inc. In this role, he engages in new drug development, scientific discovery, data monitoring and safety testing. Prior to his current role, Dr. Ogunade was a clinician in clinical development and operations with Pfizer Inc., a safety scientist with the United BioSource Corporation, a clinical safety associate with BloomTrials LLC and a drug safety specialist with Mediscreen International. From 2004 to 2014, he was a resident physician at the Sheridan Medical Center in Lagos, Nigeria. He garnered four years of experience as a public health specialist and 10 years of experience as a ward patient family physician.
In preparation for his career, Dr. Ogunade earned an MBBS from the University of Ilorin in Kwara, Nigeria in 2004. He graduated from the Lagos State University College of Medicine with a Master of Public Health with a specialization in pharmacoepidemiology in 2012. In 2021, Dr. Ogunade obtained a Master of Business Administration in management and operations from Louisiana State University. Alongside his formal degrees, he is a Certified Lean Practitioner with Transformance Advisors Inc. and a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute.
In recognition of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Ogunade received an International Business Scholastic Honor from Beta Gamma Sigma and a National Scholastic Honor from Sigma Iota Epsilon in 2021. He is also the recipient of a Scholastic Honor from the honor society of Louisiana State University. In his spare time, Dr. Ogunade enjoys swimming, playing tennis and taking road trips with his family. In the future, he plans to continue supporting humanity through his work.
