Sean Hasley, an IT project manager at the U.S. Navy, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of information technology.

Leveraging over four decades of experience in his chosen field, Mr. Hasley has distinguished himself as the lead project manager for the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) program, which processes over a billion dollars in transactions each fiscal year for over 120,000 customers affiliated with the United States Navy. In this capacity, Mr. Hasley provides oversight for a team of more than 10 talented team members, and serves as the supply chain’s gatekeeper for failure and success. Long dedicated to public service, he previously accrued experience in customer service, system administration and website development at a variety of organizations, including the Naval Supply Systems Command, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, at CRGT Inc. in Germany, at the Betis Group, and with the United States Army, for which he served in active duty between 1983 and 2003. 

Mr. Hasley’s performance in the field was born of his academic journey, during which time he studied at the University of Maryland Global Campus and received a Bachelor of Science in information system management in 2006. Following this accomplishment, he continued his studies at the university and earned a Master of Science in 2012 – an accomplishment of which he is particularly proud. Eminently qualified in his field, Mr. Hasley also bears certification in federal project management, in Agile project management, and as an advanced certified ScrumMaster, among several others. 

Outside of his professional efforts, Mr. Hasley has contributed to his community as a facilitator for the American Red Cross from 1992 to 1996, and as an assistant scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America between 2008 and 2009. Additionally, he has reviewed, edited and contributing to various articles published by the Project Management Institute, which bestowed him with a certification of appreciation in 2016. Other accolades to his credit include an Innovation Award, which he received from the CIO Directorate in 2019.
