With over two decades of experience, Mr. Gonzalez has thrived as a senior upstream application scientist in bioprocess-single use technologies at Cytiva since 2020. Before that role, he was a senior product application scientist in bioprocess-single use technologies at GE HealthCare from 2010 to 2020. Previously, he was a research scientist at Baxter from 2003 to 2010 and a senior process development associate scientist at BioMarin from 1997 to 2003. 

Before entering his professional career, Mr. Gonzalez earned a Bachelor’s Degree in biology and chemistry from California State University, Long Beach, in 1991. Mr. Gonzalez knew the direction he wanted to go in since high school. He always wanted to become a scientist to help society and culture. As a testament to his success, he received the Enzyme Replacement Therapy Award. Mr. Gonzalez helped to get the first two rare disease enzymes approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Looking to the future, he wants to continue to teach biotech and biopharmaceutical industries.
