He began his career as a research scientist at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of New Delhi, India from 2012 to 2013. He garnered a stellar reputation as a manager of malaria vaccine projects at the same from 2013 to 2018 and as a research scientist at Columbia University Medical Center from 2018 to 2020.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Shakri pursued an education in Australia, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree. He continued his academic efforts at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology of New Delhi, earning his PhD in biosciences and malaria vaccines in 2012.

Dr. Shakri attributes his success to his parents, particularly his father, who was a teacher and has supported him in all the ways that he could. In the immediate future, he intends to continue doing his research on vaccines, improving their efficacy, and creating a method to develop them more quickly. He also desires to train his team and further enhance his own knowledge and experience.
