Dr. Suvarchala Kiranmai Avvari, a scientist at SimulationsPlus, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the pharmaceutical industry.
Hailing from extensive experience in the field of pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation, Dr. Avvari has found success as a scientist at Simulations Plus since 2021. In this capacity, she utilizes powerful software technology to develop models for new drug molecules, and engages in various clinical trials for new formulations. Prior to this role, she worked as a research and development executive at Sanzyme in Hyderabad, India, in 2013. Outside of her primary endeavors, Dr. Avvari interned at BeiGene Inc., and previously distinguished herself as a teaching assistant, tutor and research fellow at Long Island University (LIU).
Well-regarded for her scholarly prowess, Dr. Avvari has contributed to the writing of numerous articles, many of which have appeared in a number of publications, such as the Journal of Applied Pharmaceutical Science and the International Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. To remain aware of developments in the field, she maintains her affiliation with such organizations as the Indian Pharmaceutical Association, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences, for which she was a former secretary of the student chapter at LIU.
Before embarking upon her professional journey, Dr. Avvari attained a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science in India, and later attended the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. After graduating with a master’s degree in pharmacology, she continued her academic efforts at LIU, where she earned a Doctor of Philosophy in pharmaceutics and drug design in 2022. Well-qualified in her field, she has been certified in population PK data by the Cognigen Corporation, in R-programming from Umedy, and in Monolix Suite by the Lixoft Spring School.
Among her most cherished accomplishments, Dr. Avvari is proud to have earned several accolades, including a Rho Chi Award for Academic Excellence from the Beta Theta chapter of the Rho Chi Society in 2017, and a Best Outgoing Student Award from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2010. In accounting for her success, she largely credits the support and encouragement she has received from her colleagues, mentors, and loved ones. Outside of her professional efforts, Dr. Avvari enjoys such valued pastimes as cooking and gardening.
