Daniel D. Young, PhD, founder and principal consultant at Technology Systems Consulting, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting.

With many years of experience to his credit, Dr. Young has excelled as founder and principal consultant at Technology Systems Consulting. He served as vice president of engineering at DRS. He worked in program management at Avionics Lab and at the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. In the United States Air Force, he established himself as a major. He retired in 2002.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Young pursued an education at the University of Toledo where he earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 1967. He continued his academic efforts at Bowling Green State University, participating in the ROTC Program, before attending the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and obtaining a master’s degree in laser engineering in 1969 and a PhD in physics in 1976. He holds a certification in program management from the Air Force College of Management.

In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Young remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Physics Society. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the Program Management Award from Princeton University, several Program Management Medals and Achievement Awards from the United States Air Force, and a Technical Achievement Award in 1977.

Dr. Young attributes his success to being stubborn, which has helped him focus on difficult tasks and get the required studying done. In the immediate future, he would like to work with some startup companies in a part-time capacity as a consultant. He intends to specialize in proposal management and writing.
