Matthew Schlecht, PhD, Owner of Word Alchemy Translation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in technical translation services.
Dr. Schlecht is a distinguished professional who has served many prestigious organizations, including as an assistant professor of chemistry at Polytechnic University between 1982 and 1988, as the senior research chemist of agricultural products at E.I. Dupont de Nemours between 1988 and 1999, and as a research chemist in CB Research and Development for Beard Research Inc., between 1999 and 2002. In 2002, he transitioned to language services and presently works as a technical translator and owner of Word Alchemy Translation. Additionally, he authored “Molecular Modeling on the PC” in 1997 and has been a reviewer for scientific manuscripts.
Attributing his success to his unwavering determination, Dr. Schlecht utilized this asset to earn a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 1975. He subsequently obtained a Master of Science in Chemistry in 1976 and a PhD in Chemistry in 1980 from Columbia University. He has also completed postdoctoral research in organic chemistry at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Schlecht was recognized as a postdoctoral research grantee by the National Institutes of Health between 1980 and 1982 and between 1985 and 1988. He was also included in the 24th edition of Who’s Who in the East. When he is not working, he dedicates his time and attention to studying languages and linguistics, history, gardening and farming, and reading history.
