Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, where he served as manager of design quality engineering from 2013 to 2016, and subsequently as senior manager from 2016 to 2019. His tenure at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd culminated in his role as senior manager from 2019 to 2020. Prior to founding Todd Barker Consulting LLC in 2023, Dr. Barker was the Apple Health Quality Lead at Apple from 2020 to 2023.
Throughout his career, Dr. Barker has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, culminating in his acquisition of a PhD in analytical chemistry from the University of Delaware. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he has been involved in many civic organizations. He is active in the Boy Scouts of America and Toastmasters and has made significant contributions to the field through his written works.

This innovation revolutionized disease detection, enabling the identification of HIV, hepatitis viruses, and West Nile virus in donated blood samples. The platform’s widespread adoption, achieving nearly 100% market penetration in HIV hotspots like Thailand and utilization in blood banks across the U.S. and various countries, underscores its global impact. His pioneering work played a pivotal role in reducing HIV transmission rates to manageable levels, saving countless lives, and advancing public health efforts worldwide.
