Title: Mathematician, Research Scientist, and Aerospace Engineer (Retired)
Location: Templeton, Maine, United States

John Paris Colvis, retired mathematician, research scientist, aerospace engineer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in his respective fields.

With four and a half decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Colvi held a distinguished career in science, specializing as a mathematician, research scientist, and aerospace engineer. His career includes roles such as senior system engineer II at the Missile Defense Center, Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, from 2009 to 2016, and staff engineer at United Launch Alliance from 2007 to 2009. From 1995 to 2006, he served as a staff engineer at United Launch Alliance LLC, Space Launch Systems Co., National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Prior to this, he was a senior engineer at Martin Marietta Astronautics Group, Space Launch Systems Co., National Aeronautics and Space Administration, from 1987 to 1995. He also held the position of senior system safety engineer at Martin Marietta Astronautics Group, Strategic Systems Inc., from 1981 to 1987, and associate system safety engineer at McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Co. from 1978 to 1981. In addition to his civilian career, he served as a lance corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Colvi made many notable achievements, including research in the quantum postulate, quantum philosophy of science and mathematics, and complete and verifiable logic-quantum synthesis. He discovered the root cause of quantum events, quantum entanglement, duality, singularities, and the irreversibility of all natural processes. Additionally, he identified empirically valid relationships that were previously unrealized in our traditional foundations of science and mathematics, advancing these foundations from being solely theoretical to being empirically verifiable. He also dedicated his time to various organizations. He served as president of the Colorado Home Educators’ Association in 1989 and was involved with Post 4171 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Khe Sanh Veterans Inc., and Chapter 907 of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Furthermore, he was a worshipful master at the Masonic Lodge and a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason.

Laying a solid foundation for his future success, Mr. Colvi completed coursework at St. Louis Community College–Meramec from 1964 to 1965, and Palomar College in 1968. He also completed coursework at the University of Missouri in 1966, Missouri University of Science and Technology from 1968 to 1969, and again at the University of Missouri from 1972 to 1975. He then earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Washington University in 1977. Reflecting on his career, he recalls the experience of receiving a postcard from Stephen Hawking, who acknowledged his work as thought-provoking, a moment he takes great pride in. He emphasizes that he found the laws of nature reveal that nothing is impossible to achieve if you have the right knowledge and understanding. In his free time, he enjoys camping, hiking, swimming, and ballroom dancing.
