Title: President
Company: Lenrgy LLC

Thomas W. Grimshaw, PhD, president at Lenrgy LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in cold fusion and environmental consulting.
Across nearly 50 years of professional experience, Dr. Grimshaw has proven himself to be adaptable and skilled in the fields of geology and energy policy. Since 2016, he has served as the president of Lenrgy LLC, a contracting firm he founded to advocate for cold fusion as a viable form of clean energy. Dr. Grimshaw pushes back against a mainstream scientific outlook that views cold fusion with skepticism. He receives grants to help fund his research but also regularly promotes his area of interest without compensation — a sign of how passionately he believes in the untapped potential of this field. Prior to founding Lenergy, Dr. Grimshaw took on research and faculty roles in various branches of The University of Texas at Austin, including in the Energy Institute, the Center for International Energy & Environmental Policy and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. The first 35 years of his career saw him working for a range of academic and private-sector organizations focused on geology and the environment.
A solid academic foundation backs up Dr. Grimshaw’s extensive accomplishments. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in geological engineering from South Dakota Mines in 1976. Following that, Dr. Grimshaw joined The University of Texas at Austin, earning a Master of Arts in geology in 1970 and a PhD in geology in 1976. Even after completing his doctorate, he has continued his education, receiving a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008. Dr. Grimshaw is certified as a professional geologist in the state of Texas and is affiliated with various industry-related organizations, such as the American Institute of Professional Geologists and the International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science. He regularly contributes to papers, publishes research and leads presentations on cold fusion.
Outside of his career, Dr. Grimshaw is a dedicated husband and father to two sons. He enjoys spending his free time researching his family history and genealogy in general. Looking ahead, Dr. Grimshaw remains committed to arguing in favor of cold fusion. Driven by equal parts academic curiosity and desire to make a positive impact on climate change, he intends to continue pushing for more research into this underexplored technology.
