With nearly a decade of experience in science and technology research, Dr. Dawson has specialized in climate science, aerosol processes, and greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2023, he has excelled as a senior data scientist at SeekOps Inc., where he manages and analyzes emissions data, ensuring accuracy in algorithms, processing codes, and software. He also prepares technical presentations, travels to conferences to present his findings, and supports the energy, waste, and oil and gas sectors in addressing sustainability challenges, particularly methane emissions. His previous roles include data scientist positions at SeekOps Inc. from 2022 to 2023, Bayer Crop Science from 2020 to 2022, and a postdoctoral research fellowship at NASA Langley Research Center from 2018 to 2020. His research experience also spans several prestigious institutions, including NASA Ames Research Center in 2015, Duke University from 2014 to 2012, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2010 to 2011.

Additionally, Dr. Dawson has contributed to the field through numerous articles in professional journals and holds memberships with the American Meteorological Society, the American Geophysical Union, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and the American Waste Management Association. He was also honored as a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow by the Universities Space Research Association in 2018 and received recognition as a LARSS Intern at NASA Langley Research Center in 2013. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in atmospheric science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2011, a Master of Science in atmospheric science from North Carolina State University in 2013, and a PhD in atmospheric science from the same institution in 2017. Additionally, he is Microsoft Certified Azure AI Fundamentals.
