With nearly a decade and a half of experience, Dr. Kayode has built a successful career in information technology, specializing in data science, information retrieval, and the application of machine learning. He has served as a machine learning scientist at Visa Inc. since 2020, where he focuses on data modeling, analysis, developing proof of concepts, and collaborating with software engineers on production code. His experience also includes assistant professor at Frostburg State University from 2020 to 2022, a research assistant and teaching assistant at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2016 to 2020, and a research intern at GE Research, a research and development division of General Electric, focused on driving innovation across a variety of industries, including energy, health care, aviation, and manufacturing, in 2019. He served as a research assistant at Southern University and A&M College Baton Rouge from 2014 to 2015 and as an information technology instructor from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, he has volunteered his time as an instructor for community outreach in 2019, with the Daughters of Zion United in 2015, and for data elicitation with the World Health Organization in 2012.

He also received the Scholarship for Academic Excellence from Ekiti State, Nigeria, in 2010 and Best Performance in an Essay Competition by the Nigeria Agricultural Development Project in 2006.
Laying a strong educational foundation, Dr. Kayode earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the Federal University of Technology Akure in 2011, a Master of Science in computer science from Southern University and A&M College Baton Rouge in 2015, and a PhD in computer science from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2020. He also holds a certificate from the National Nuclear Security Administration Minority Serving Institutions Partnership Program Summer Modeling Workshop.
Reflecting on his path, Dr. Kayode has made significant contributions to research, particularly in the Internet of Things, where he identified and addressed security vulnerabilities in communication channels. He takes great pride in distinguishing himself through his unique problem-solving approach and aligning solutions with specific business needs. He attributes his success to a focus on collaborative efforts and teamwork, as well as being a good listener and aligning programs with business goals and objectives, aiming to enhance profitability or minimize losses for the company.
