Noel R. Vadell, BS, Senior Forensic Chemist at the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Law Enforcement.
Mr. Vadell is an experienced law enforcement professional whose tenure as a senior forensic chemist with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration dates back to 1998. Over the past 35 years, he has been instrumental in reviewing submissions from local law enforcement and state and federal agencies for the presence or absence of controlled substances. Mr. Vadell has also been responsible for thorough assessments of all materials forwarded by these government entities. Earlier in his career, he worked as a DuPont chemist from 1994 to 1997, based at the Stein Haskell Research Facility. As part of the insecticidal team, Mr. Vadell was tasked with testing approximately 50,000 compounds of their insect-killing properties.
Leveraging his success and experience in the military, Mr. Vadell was an aerospace jet engine mechanic with the U.S. Air Force from 1988 to 2021. During his service, he spent time in Afghanistan with two airframes and participated in Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Vadell’s service has been highly influential in his ability to excel and commit, especially following the events of 9/11, which shifted his motivation.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Vadell received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Temple University in Philadelphia in 1994. Eager for the future of his career, despite suffering the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder, he remains committed to continued success in his ventures. He believes in effectively passing on his knowledge and expertise to others while continuously enhancing his leadership abilities and setting himself up for career advancement.
