Dr. Grover laid a solid educational foundation, earning a PhD in drug discovery and biomedical magnetic resonance from the Central Drug Research Institute in Lucknow, India, in 2004, a master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, polymer engineering, and biomedical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi in 1998, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in chemical biology and immunology at Scripps Research in 2007. He has also dedicated his time as a member of the board of advisers for GLO Good Foundation since 2023, member of the executive board for the UC San Diego Entrepreneur Challenge since 2012, and board member of the American Nutrition Association from 2018 to 2023. Additionally, he is affiliated with organizations such as the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Sigma Xi, and the American Society of Hematology.
Dr. Grover has made significant contributions to his field, including co-creating “Risking Aspirations—A Film” in 2014 and authoring influential publications such as “A Structurally Distinct Human Mycoplasma Protein that Generically Blocks Antigen-Antibody Union” and “The Costimulatory Immunogen LPS Induces the B-Cell Clones that Infiltrate Transplanted Human Kidneys.” His groundbreaking discoveries include a tuberculosis drug, the Napoleon Complex (Protein M) in Mycoplasma genitalium, and the evasion mechanism of kinetoplastids. His work has been featured in Science Magazine, JAMA, Nature Reviews, American Journal of Transplantation, and media outlets such as PBS, Der Spiegel, San Diego Union-Tribune, and FOX. He has received prestigious fellowships with Richard Lerner at Harvard Medical School, Savannah College of Art and Design, and the Marie Meyer Scholarship for developing a skin cancer vaccine.
