Dr. Guarnaccia, a distinguished professional in software technology, recently concluded his role as a solutions architect at SoftServe in 2024, a premier information technology consulting and digital services provider based in Texas. His career history also included tenures with Starburst as a solutions architect from 2023 and 2023 and SAS Institute Inc. as a solutions architect and senior solutions architect between 2014 and 2022. Earlier, Dr. Guarnaccia garnered experience while still in college, where he received tremendous satisfaction as a research assistant, teaching assistant and tutor for over a decade.
After a remarkable experience during his two years at the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 1996 to 1998, where Dr. Guarnaccia served as a midshipman and a lead trumpeter in the band, he continued his educational pursuits. He received a bachelor’s degree in physics at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2003, a master’s degree in particle physics at the University of Kansas in 2008, and a Doctor of Philosophy in physics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2014. Besides his educational achievements, Dr. Guarnaccia has been active as a member of the Center for Neutrino Physics.
While still in college, Dr. Guarnaccia received the E.E. Slossen Award from the University of Kansas in 2005, recognizing his hard work. Extremely passionate about education, he credits much of his professional success to his extensive educational background and those who have supported his endeavors, including his wife. Eager for the future of his career, Dr. Guarnaccia intends to concentrate more on software solutions in the data field. He aims to assist companies in achieving their project goals efficiently and effectively, leveraging his expertise in software tools to help them succeed.
