Drawing upon more than 25 years of experience in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry and materials science, Mr. Landrau has been the president and chief executive officer of Landrau Scientific Innovations, LLC, in Massachusetts since 2017. Known widely for his development of advanced coatings, polymeric materials and drug formulations, he has also focused his attention on the development of advanced high-temperature polymeric materials for NASA, as well as coatings for the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Likewise, he has lent his expertise to the pharmaceutical industry and the Department of Education.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Arts in religion, both from Atlantic Union College, Mr. Landrau also has a Bachelor of Science in organic chemistry from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. His work with NASA was recognized with two awards for novel thermoset plasticizers for polyimide resins in 2000, and he has also led the development of new drug delivery technologies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Landrau was a scientist for Foster-Miller, Inc., a project chemist for Eikos, Inc., a scientist for Inotek Pharmaceuticals, as well as the president and chief executive officer of Neo-Advent Technologies, LLC. Looking toward the future, he intends to ease into retirement.
