He is currently an associate and Geographic Information System (GIS) group leader at HR Green Inc., roles he has held since 2020. He has also been a GIS practice advisor at HR Green Inc. since 2010. His responsibilities include overseeing and running the company’s GIS department. His experience also includes GPS and GIS specialist with Xenia Rural Water District, a public utility organization that provides potable water services to rural and suburban communities, ensuring reliable access to clean water across its service area, from 2006 to 2010, and a small engine mechanic at Aero Rental, a company that provides equipment and tool rentals for construction, home improvement, and various other projects, catering to both residential and commercial customers, from 2000 to 2006.
Mr. Liska holds memberships with the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association, a professional organization dedicated to advancing the use of geospatial technology and information systems in urban and regional planning, data management, and analysis, and the National Association of Sewer Service Companies, a professional organization focused on setting standards and providing training for the inspection, maintenance, and rehabilitation of underground sewer infrastructure. He also dedicates his time as a board member for the Washington Community Schools, vice president and volunteer coach with a local baseball club, and a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and Cans for Cancer. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was honored twice with the Project of the Year Award by HR Green Inc. Laying a solid educational foundation for these successes, he earned an Associate of Science in global positioning systems and graphic information systems in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in geographic information systems and information technology from American Sentinel College in 2013. He also earned a Part 107 Drone Pilot License.
Mr. Liska attributes his success to the strong work ethic instilled in him by his parents. Additionally, he has discovered that keeping an open mind and refraining from premature judgments have been crucial to his professional growth. He emphasizes the importance of fully engaging with situations before drawing any conclusions. In the coming years, he aims to expand his business within the company and foster the growth of his team. As a school board member, he is committed to ensuring that projects are completed satisfactorily and that students excel academically. At this stage in his career, he is focused on advancing in management and further developing his team. His long-term goal is to fully harness the potential of his group, particularly through the integration of AI technology. He seeks to keep his team technologically proficient without being overwhelmed by rapid advancements, emphasizing the need for continuous education.
