With nearly two decades of experience to her credit, Dr. Anumukonda has established a successful career in health care, specializing in medical education, business development, and acceleration. She currently serves as partner and lead consultant at Anuko Tech Inc., a role she has held since 2023, investor and advisor with DataNimbus since 2024, and consultant and advisor with IKCON Pharma since 2024. As co-founder and partner at Anuko Tech Inc., a private consulting agency focused on health care and life sciences, she emphasizes developing augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) content for medical education. Additionally, she is active in business acceleration within the health care and life sciences sectors, investing in and collaborating with companies to enhance their operations, particularly in integrating emerging technologies with data science. Her responsibilities include making these advancements accessible to pharmaceutical companies and other health care clients. Dr. Anumukonda’s experience includes serving as a senior scientist with Skunkworx Bio from 2021 to 2023, postdoctoral researcher at SUNY Downstate Medical Center from 2017 to 2019, and graduate research and teaching assistant at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, School of Public Health from 2009 to 2016. Additionally, she worked as a tutor certified by the College Reading and Learning Association at Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus from 2007 to 2008, as a medical consultant at both Ruby Hall Clinic and St. Joseph Dental College in India in 2006, and junior doctor at King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam, India, in 2005. She also dedicates her time to organizations such as the American Association of Immunologists and the Medical Science Liaison Society. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has been honored with the Travel Award from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence from the School of Biomedical Sciences. Laying a solid educational foundation, she earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery from Andhra Medical College in India in 2005, a Master of Science in medical biology from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus in 2009, and a Doctor of Philosophy in cellular and molecular biology from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 2016.
Reflecting on her path, Dr. Anumukonda takes great pride in her work as a scientist at Skunkworx Bio, where she designed, tested, and validated a single-chain antibody that currently has a patent pending. She attributes her success to her passion for learning and staying up-to-date in her field. In the coming years, she aims to establish a startup company and has already begun collaborating with her brothers, who bring expertise in their respective fields. Together, they are leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, AR, and VR to develop commercially viable solutions for outsourcing. She also seeks to advance medical education content through AR and VR, addressing the limitations of traditional training that relies solely on real patients. She believes these technologies can improve the diversity of patient cases and enhance the teaching of surgical skills and medical procedures, creating a more comprehensive and inclusive experience for future healthcare professionals.
