Over the past two decades, she has made substantial contributions to antibody development for therapeutics and diagnostics, guiding candidates from preclinical stages to clinical development. As the founder and chief executive officer of companies including RamanID, Precision Biopharma, Calico Biolabs Inc., and Verano Bioscience, she has been at the forefront of transformative health care innovations. Additionally, she serves as a research lead at Precision Biopharma, advocates for personalized health care, and actively supports women’s empowerment. She also dedictes her time to the industry through an advisory role at Daybreak Labs and membership in leading organizations like the American Association for Cancer Research and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Reflecting on her path, Ms. Mahrat’s she takes great pride in her groundbreaking patents, including innovations in binding proteins, persistent sanitizers, bacteria detection, recombinant antibody structures, and viral detection through Raman spectroscopy. Her experience living with an autoimmune disease also fuels her commitment to developing new therapies, especially for protein-related autoimmune conditions and stem cell treatments.
