He subsequently served at Purdue University as a graduate teaching assistant and course coordinator from 2008 to 2012. During this time, he also worked as a graduate research assistant until 2014. His academic pursuits ultimately culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry from Purdue University. Over the course of his doctoral studies, Dr. Yerneni was mentored by Professor Mary Wirth, who played a pivotal role in shaping Dr. Yerneni into the accomplished scientist he is today.

Upon concluding his formal education, Dr. Yerneni joined Tris Pharma as a senior analytical research and development chemist in 2014. He would later excel as a level-three analytical scientist in 2015, a role in which he further developed his expertise in pharmaceutical analysis. In 2018, he transitioned to i3 Pharmaceuticals, LLC as a level-three research scientist before eventually becoming a senior scientist and team lead in 2020. By 2021, he had advanced to a level-two senior scientist and team lead before joining Flamma Group in 2022.

Dr. Yerneni’s professional ventures have been complemented by his membership in the American Chemical Society, reflecting his commitment to remaining up-to-date with industry developments. His impressive work has been recognized with several accolades, including the Best Poster Award at the 5th Annual Research Symposium hosted by Purdue NOBCChE in 2013 and the Best Student Researcher Award from Western Illinois University in 2008.

Beyond his primary accomplishments, Dr. Yerneni is actively involved in philanthropic efforts, having notably contributed as a donor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His dedication to community service underscores his desire to make a positive impact beyond the laboratory environment. Additionally, his involvement with civic-minded organizations highlights his commitment to helping those in need in society.
