Ms. Brant, vice president of Global Bioanalytical Services, ICON plc, since 2023, is lauded for her leadership in the biotechnology research sector. In her role, she oversees three bioanalysis sites in the Netherlands, Kansas City, Missouri, and upstate New York. Apart from her work at her facility, Ms. Brant has excelled in education as a lecturer at the University of Michigan, where she is passionate about disseminating her wealth of professional experience with students to inspire and guide them throughout their academic journeys.
Leveraging her former expertise, Ms. Brant was affiliated with the University of Michigan as a clinical research portfolio manager. She also served as a senior director of scientific affairs and as the interim president at Eurofins USA, was an associate director at AIT Bioscience, and, among other roles, was a genomic research scientist at Genomic Solutions Inc. earlier in her career.
Highly educated, Ms. Brant received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from Eastern Michigan University in 2000 and a Master of Science in analytical chemistry from the University of Michigan in 2010. She is also active in the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, which has helped her remain at the forefront of her industry. Moreover, Ms. Brant has contributed to her field by contributing a book chapter and co-authoring an article in the Journal of Lipid Research. Among her most notable achievements, she developed the analytical validation of endogenous biomarker assays and was instrumental in the pharmaceutical sector, particularly in developing new and innovative drugs. Ms. Brant credits her success to her persistence in overcoming challenges and solving problems.
