Before being named to his current position at Sandia National Laboratories, Dr. Ma served as a principal research and development computer scientist from 2012 to 2016. Between 2005 and 2011, he held the position of senior computer scientist in the research and development department. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago, a Master of Business Administration in management of technology from the University of New Mexico, and a Doctor of Philosophy in systems engineering from Colorado State University. Dr. Ma’s passion for problem-solving and curiosity have driven his success, earning him certifications such as Certified Artificial Intelligence Transformation Leader from the U.S> Artificial Intelligence Institute.
