During his tenure managing both Radio NET and 13 Mari Ltd., Mr. Fotev also excelled as the founder of Peer Belt Inc., a software development company in the New York City metropolitan area from 2009 to 2020. During this period, he led groundbreaking projects that advanced the field of information technology (IT) and fostered collaboration across multiple disciplines.
Mr. Fotev also held the leading role of vice president at Credit Suisse, a global wealth management company that has since been acquired by UBS Group AG. For nearly a decade between 2001 to 2009, he was influential in demonstrating his ability to integrate scientific knowledge with practical business solutions. Mr. Fotev’s earlier experience included serving as a researcher at OneClip.com Inc., a senior software architect at Webmessenger Inc., a software engineer for NT Soft Ltd. and Datalog Srl, and a researcher at InterQ OOD, dating back to 1996.
Instrumental in shaping his career trajectory, Mr. Fotev became highly educated. He received two master’s degrees in physics, followed by coursework toward a Doctor of Philosophy at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia, Bulgaria. His education has played a significant role in his entrepreneurial ventures.
Throughout nearly three decades in IT and physics, Mr. Fotev has demonstrated exceptional expertise and leadership, earning respect for both his technical acumen and dedication to advancing meaningful change within his field. In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Fotev received the Captain’s Table Award in 2022.
