With years of experience to his credit, Mr. Thurman has excelled as the director of water midstream at the Bakken Formation for McKenzie Energy Partners LLC since 2019. He previously found success as the director of waste management for MBI Energy Services from 2014 to 2019. Moreover, Mr. Thurman served in the U.S. Marine Corps providing special support to diplomats and overseas contractors for eight years, during which time he advanced to the rank of captain.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Thurman pursued an education at the University of California San Diego, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in marine biology in 1988. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he has been active as a member of the American Legion, the Society of Petroleum Engineers and his local chapter of the Fraternal Order of Free and Accepted Masons. Attributing his success to his honesty, consistency and perseverance, he is incredibly proud to have began his career as part of personal security detachments around the world with the U.S. military. He is also grateful to have helped MBI Energy Services commercialize their proprietary disposals to become one of the most profitable divisions in the company in less than 2 years. Looking toward the future, Mr. Thurman hopes to establish his own midstream company where he can thrive in his present endeavors independently.
