Vincent Peter Stulginskis, Senior Scientist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Computer Science.

Mr. Stulginskis has carved a distinguished path in both his professional and personal life, marked by a diverse career and a commitment to education and science. Currently working as a senior scientist on a freelance basis since 2025, he combines his expertise in computer science, radio frequency analysis and vibration analysis with a passion for astrophotography. Mr. Stulginskis’s work involves capturing celestial images and engaging in educational outreach to inspire others in the field of science.

Before working for himself, Mr. Stulginskis dedicated himself to teaching, serving as the VMware regional academy director at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in Boone, North Carolina, from 2005 to 2019. His educational background also included positions at Appalachian State University in Boone and Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, where he taught in the mathematics and computer science departments between 1999 and 2005. Throughout these roles, Mr. Stulginskis found immense satisfaction in helping students realize their potential, often challenging them with rigorous coursework that left a lasting impact.

Before entering academia, Mr. Stulginskis honed his technical skills in the private sector. He worked with Commscope, a publicly traded network infrastructure provider based in Claremont, North Carolina, that designs and manufactures network infrastructure products. There, he served as a research and development manager for Commscope from 1981 to 1996. His distinguished tenure involved managing factory automated testing and control systems, as well as specializing in radio frequency and vibration analysis. He also oversaw all engineering computer/networking systems. Earlier, Mr. Stulginskis worked for Raytheon in Greenville, Texas, in the e-systems division, where he applied his knowledge as an electronic system programmer between 1977 and 1981. Working in a highly classified environment at Raytheon, he focused on programs that controlled custom radio frequency analysis equipment.

Mr. Stulginskis’s early career was shaped by his service in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam War, where he trained as a tank mechanic at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He actively engaged in significant military operations. Training as a tank mechanic, Mr. Stulginskis participated in maneuvers in Guantanamo Bay, preparing for potential deployments to conflict zones. This experience provided him with valuable technical skills and discipline that would later serve him well in civilian life.

As part of his academic achievements, Mr. Stulginskis earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from California University of Pennsylvania in 1977 and a master’s degree in computer science from East Texas State University in Commerce. This foundation has supported his endeavors across various industries, enabling him to excel in both engineering and education.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Stulginskis is deeply committed to his personal interests and goals, including enhancing his astrophotography mapping techniques. However, he faces a significant challenge, as this endeavor requires substantial funding, specifically M1Y. Unfortunately, recent hurricanes have forced Mr. Stulginskis to reallocate some of his financial resources to address the damages caused.

Throughout his career, Mr. Stulginskis has been recognized for his contributions to education and science. As he continues to pursue new challenges and inspire others through educational outreach, he remains committed to advancing knowledge and fostering growth within the scientific community. Mr. Stulginskis attributes much of his success to the support of his wife and his tenacity.
