Hired in 2002 as an early clinical scientist, she was later promoted to research pharmacokineticist from 2012 to 2014. Between 2014 and 2020, she served as an associate director, where she was responsible for creating new standard operating procedures and developing a training matrix. Ms. Talaty’s tenure at Merck concluded in the role of associate principal scientist, a position she held until 2020, during which she focused on compliance and quality within the pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism department. She also played a pivotal role in aligning best practices regarding quality and operations during a departmental merger, co-authored various regulatory documents, and conducted analysis modeling and simulations during her tenure with the organization.
Ms. Talaty’s career began as a traumatic brain injury therapist at Moss Rehab/Albert Einstein Medical Center from 1997 to 2002. This foundational experience provided her with valuable insights into patient care and therapeutic interventions, which have informed her subsequent work in clinical research.
In preparation for her remarkable career in research, Ms. Talaty’s academic background included earning an undergraduate degree, followed by a Master of Science in biomedical science from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2002. Her education laid the groundwork for her successful career in clinical research and pharmacology.
