Jatin H. Bhatt, Coud Security Response Manager at the Google Cloud Cyber Defense Center at Google, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Scientists for dedication, achievements and leadership in Information Security and Controls.
Mr. Bhatt is a leading expert in information security and controls, as well as security response, with a career spanning more than 15 years. Since 2024, he has served as a cloud security response manager at the Google Cloud Cyber Defense Center. In this capacity, Mr. Bhatt manages external security risks, monitors media for emerging threats and responds to security-related incidents. Mr. Bhatt’s responsibilities also include analyzing the impact of security vulnerabilities, communicating with stakeholders during crises and coordinating with security researchers to gain critical insights. Mr. Bhatt is instrumental in assessing the visibility of potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate outrage risks and collaborating with security teams to ensure effective responses.
Before pivoting into his current position, Mr. Bhatt was a technical program manager for cloud threat and adversary operations at Google from 2023 to 2024. In this position, he played a pivotal role in identifying and countering advanced threats targeting cloud infrastructure, further strengthening Google’s defenses against evolving cyber risks. Mr. Bhatt previously served in the same role for Google’s Security and Trust Center between 2021 and 2023 and for Google’s Security, Privacy and User Trust from 2019 to 2021.
In 2014, Mr. Bhatt joined NetApp, an intelligent data infrastructure company headquartered in California, as a senior identity and access management operations engineer, where he maintained the operational integrity of critical identity systems. He advanced to senior identity and access management engineer from 2015 to 2016, to technical program manager for identity and access management between 2016 and 2018, and to technical program manager for vulnerability management and the computer security incident response team in 2019.
Before joining NetApp, Mr. Bhatt excelled as a senior identity and access management architect and engineer at TechDemocracy LLC, a cybersecurity solutions provider based in New Jersey, from 2012 to 2014. He first worked for the company in 2008 as an identity and access management architect and engineer for two years. Mr. Bhatt was also employed by Deloitte, where he spent 2010 to 2012 as an enterprise risk services consultant, providing strategic guidance on risk mitigation and compliance for major clients. He began his professional journey as a business process analyst intern at Celanese Corporation in 2008, following the completion of his graduate studies.
Mr. Bhatt’s academic background has been foundational to his professional accomplishments. He completed a Bachelor of Engineering in information technology (IT) from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology in 2007. He soon earned a Master of Science in information technology management with a focus on management information systems from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Bhatt holds several industry-recognized credentials, including a certified information security manager from ISACA, a certified information systems security professional and a certified cloud security professional from ISC2, Inc., and a certified information privacy professional/IT from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bhatt has demonstrated a commitment to advancing cybersecurity practices through research presentations and knowledge sharing. Among his most notable achievements are his successful presentations at various conferences, including Bsides Seattle in 2023, where he showcased his work at Google. He has also presented research projects at several internal Google conferences and is preparing a potential presentation with his team at the Black Hat conference.
In addition to external recognition, such as the IEEE Impetus Award in 2007 during his undergraduate years, Mr. Bhatt has received multiple internal accolades during his tenure at NetApp, including an Employee Recognition Award, a Spot Award for the MFA Project, a Finance and Operations Leadership Team Award, a Chief Financial Officer Peer to Peer Recognition Award and an IT Recognition Award.
Mr. Bhatt attributes much of his success to the unwavering support of his wife and children, who have enabled him to focus on demanding work periods by stepping up when needed most. Professionally, he credits good mentors, managers and senior peers for shaping his problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. Looking ahead, Mr. Bhatt is dedicated to integrating human intelligence with artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance software security solutions that address challenges posed by automation within society. He aims to contribute meaningfully to responsible advancements in AI technologies and to continue to have an impact within Google’s leadership in AI and quantum technologies, while remaining committed to ongoing learning in this rapidly evolving industry.
